MALAYSIA: TWO PAKISTANI MEN CHARGED WITH ROBBING IRANIAN TOURIST; CHARGE-SHEET READ OUT IN URDU
Two Pakistani men were charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday with committing gang robbery on an Iranian tourist and fleeing off with EUR Euros 400 (RM1,867) two months ago.
Nayyar Naeem Ahmed, 31, an electrician and Raza Ahmed, 43, a carpet salesman pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out to them in Urdu before Judge Emilia Kaswati Mohamad Khalid.
The two men allegedly posed as policemen when they confronted and robbed Mohammad Ghasemi Malek Abdollah, 34.
They were charged with committing the offence at a pedestrian street in Jalan Tun Ismail, Chow Kit here at 12.30pm on May 28, framed under Section 395 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum jail term of 20 years and liable to whipping, if convicted.
The court denied bail to both accused and fixed July 31 for case mention
