Damascus, Under the title We Will Pray in al-Quds Together, a massive rally was held Friday in Damascus to mark the International al-Quds Day.

The rally set off from the entrance of al-Hamidiyeh ancient market towards the Umayyad Mosque.

The participants raised national flags, flags of Palestine and the resistance, shouting slogans condemning US President Donald Trump's transferring his country's embassy to the occupied al-Quds.

They emphasized that the Palestinian cause will ever remain the central cause as Palestine is the heart of the nation and its compass and the eternal capital of Palestine.

The International Quds Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. The event was first initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979 to express solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of the Zionist Israeli entity and its control of Quds.
