Minister: Iran to broaden cooperation with RCC
Tehran, Iran's ICT Minister Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is to broaden relations and cooperation with the northern neighbors in telecommunication sectors to bolster its regional status.
Iranian minister is now in Ashgabat to attend the international conference and exhibition of telecommunications, named 'Turkmen Tel 2018'.
Addressing the 'Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications' (RCC) ministers, he voiced Iran's readiness to establish RCC office in Iran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is also ready to broaden scope of cooperation in telecommunication and information technology, he said.
ICT plays prominent role in upgrading human security index, he said.
Grounds are well prepared to broaden cooperation in various fields such as space, satellites, drafting regulations and postal services, he said.
Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications (RCC) was established in Moscow on December 17, 1991, by the Communications Administrations of 11countries.
Every year one member state hosts the confab and this year was Turkmenistan's turn.
