Missile building, just an example of Iran’s developments: FM
Tehran, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that Iran is not dependent on others in any area and that building missiles is just one example of the developments made by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Zarif made the remarks speaking during a conference on regional developments and their impacts on Iranian security at the staff college of the Iranian Army.
Large turnout of the Iranian people at nationwide rallies to commemorate the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on February 11 despite all their economic problems showed that they are still supporting the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Zarif said.
Trump has repeatedly humiliated regional countries saying their security is for the US presence, while our country has created remarkable security in the region without dependence on others and with sole reliance on domestic capacities, the foreign minister added.
He said that Iran is not dependent on others in any area and for this reason, neither accepts dominance of others nor seeks dominance over others.
'The reason for the anger of the US and some other Western countries is that we build missile ourselves with reliance on our domestic experts and are not dependent on them,' the foreign minister added.
