Mohajerani best coach in history of Asian Cup tournaments
Tehran, Former Coach of Iran's national soccer team has been selected as the best coach of the Asian Cup tournaments with the AFC website users.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) last week introduced six top coaches throughout the Asian Cup tournaments and called on its website users to select the best coach of the tournaments in a planned poll.
After the end of the poll, Heshmat Mohajerani, the former head coach of Iran's national soccer team in the previous years, won 93 percent of the vote (51,594 votes) as the best coach of Asian Cup tournaments.
The Iranian national team under him in 1968, 1972 and 1976 for three consecutive rounds won Asian Cup.
Earlier in other Asian Confederations polls, Nasser Hejazi, the top goalkeeper, Mehdi Mahdavi Kia, best defender, Ali Karimi, the top midfielder and Ali Daei were the top striker in the history of the Asian Cup.
