MP calls for expanding ties with world after US exit
Tehran, Given the US unilateral withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal and the problems following the sanctions imposed on Iran, the country needs to promote relations with different countries and support for the diplomatic apparatus, a senior Iranian Member of Parliament said on Sunday.
Ali Najafi Khoshrouei, rapporteur of the Iranian parliament Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks after a Commission session with Iranian ambassadors to Azerbaijan Republic, Turkmenistan, Cuba, Venezuela and Syria, as well as the country's consulate-general in Istanbul.
The bilateral relations as well as the latest regional and international developments were discussed in the Commission session.
During the session, the Iranian envoys provided the lawmakers with the plans and activities pursued in their missions, and the Commission members expressed their viewpoints regarding Iran's relations with the mentioned countries.
