MP: Iran follows tension management policy
London, Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh underscored Tehran's significant role in relieving and managing tension in the region.
Falahatpishe made the remarks in a meeting with the First Vice Speaker of Norway's parliament Eva Kristin Hansen in Oslo on Thursday.
Referring to the psychological warfare masterminded by the enemies against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region, he voiced Iran's readiness to play its prominent role to help relieve tension in the region.
Iran's Majlis is ready to broaden parliamentary cooperation with Norway's parliament, he said.
He also submitted an invitation by Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to Hansen to visit Iran.
Firstvice speaker of Norway parliament, for her part said that Norway attaches importance to expansion of relations with Iran, adding that the current developments in the Middle East region are of prime importance.
She further welcomed expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
She also underlined that regional problems will be resolved only through diplomacy and dialogue.
