MP: Losing UN podium sounds irrational

Tehran, Majlis Representative from Tehran Mahmoud Sadeqi said on Wednesday that policy of empty chairs at international gatherings is doomed to failure and those seeking the policy walk in line with Netanyahu and Trump.

He said in response to those who try to prevent President Hassan Rouhani to attend the UN General Assembly.

Under such sensitive circumstances when the country suffers international and the US' pressures, it will be totally unwise to lose the chance of attending international forums, he said.

Iranian president should seize the opportunity to voice Iran's logical and rational stands in order to prevent formation of global convergence against Iran, he said.

Therefore, ignoring the chance sounds very irrational, he underlined.
