MSRT and JICA open a new chapter in their scientific collaboration
Delegates of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by Mr. Kon Tetsutaro, Director of JICA's in the Middle East and Europe Department, on 31 October 2016, paid an official visit to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of I.R. of Iran. In this visit, where Mr. Kohei SATO, the Chief Representative of JICA's Iran Office was also present, the delegates had a meeting with the Acting Minister in International Scientific Cooperation, Prof. Salar Amoli.
Referring to the positive attitude that exists between the Iranian and Japanese nations, and the fact that scientific collaboration is the most sustainable relation between the two nations, Prof. Salar Amoli announced MSRT's readiness on expanding scientific cooperation with JICA. In line with this, mutual collaboration such as allocation of scholarships for PhD students in fields of interests of the two sides, as well as implication in the year 2017, were discussed and accepted.
