Muslims urged to follow teachings of Imam Reza (A.S.) to overcome challenges

Islamabad, Aug 2, Speakers at a seminar in Pakistan's Islamabad urged the Muslim across the globe to follow teachings of Imam Reza (A.S.) to overcome the challenges they are facing right now.

Speaking at a seminar on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (A.S) the 8th Shia Imam, they said that late Imam is a role model not only for Muslims but for the entire mankind.

A large number of religious figures, scholars, analysts, students and followers of Imam Reza (A.S) attended the seminar organized by Cultural Center of Iran embassy in Islamabad and Rizvia Foundation.

President of Pakistani administered Kashmir region Sardar Masood Khan who was the chief guest on the occasion urged Muslim Ummah to follow the life of Imam Reza (A.S).

He expressed gratitude for inviting him in the seminar which is about late Imam Reza (A.S) who is one of the important personalities of the Muslims.

He was confident that the Muslims one day would emerge as a strong, political, economic and military power. Sardar Masood Khan noted that Muslim countries are rich in resources and have the capability to overcome all the challenges.

He noted that Muslims need to forge unity among themselves to encounter conspiracies against them.

The President said that it is very unfortunate that today Muslims are involved in conflicts in different countries. He said that Muslims must show tolerance and empathy towards each other.

Sardar Masood Khan said that Muslims must never quit the path of dialogue to resolve issues and 'those who don't follow the path of peace are not among us.'

Addressing the seminar he said that Muslims all over the world must support the people of Kashmir.

Renowned religious scholar Khanum Syeda Tayyaba Bukhari on the occasion expressing her views said that Imam Reza (A.S) is a role model not only for Muslims but for the entire mankind.

She said that Muslims must learn from his life to overcome the problems they are facing.

She regretted that Muslims in different corners of the world are subject to worst kind of human rights violation and the international community has become a silent spectator to that. She also criticized the role of the OIC in protecting the rights of Muslims.

Iranian Cultural Counsellor, Shahaboddin Daraei addressing the audience threw light on the life of Imam Reza (A.S). He also thanked the participants and guests for attending the auspicious seminar.

A sunni religious scholar Mufti Gulzar Naeemi said that Imam Reza (A.S) is also very dear to Sunni Muslims and his life is a role model for all mankind.

He urged the Muslim across the globe to follow the teachings of Imam Reza (A.S.) to overcome the challenges they are facing right now.

Another Sunni scholar Omar Riaz Abbasi said Imam Reza (A.S) had taught Muslims to purify themselves by following the path of Islam.

He added that Imam Reza (A.S) told us that Muslims need to learn the concept of self respect. He noted that late Imam had always stressed upon the respect for humanity.

Other speakers in their speeches also highlighted different aspects of the life of Imam Reza (A.S) and importance of his teachings for the Muslim world.

Poetic verses to praise the contribution of Imam Reza (A.S) were also recited during the event.

On the occasion a book and photo exhibition was also organized about the life of Imam Reza (A.S).
