NAM ministerial conf kicks off with Zarif in Baku
Tehran, The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Mid-Term Ministerial Conference, titled Promoting international peace and security for sustainable development kicked off in Baku on April 5 with the presence of the Iranian Minister of foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza, as the rotating head of NAM, will deliver speeches at the opening ceremony.
More than 800 delegates from 120 member countries, 17 non-member countries and 110 international bodies are taking part in the two-day conference.
Zarif will be the first foreign minister to address the conference.
