Nasrallah: Aim of ‘Deal of the Century’ ceding Quds to usurper Zionist regime

Beirut, Secretary-General of Hezbollah Movement Hassan Nasrallah said on Friday that the most dangerous issue of this year is 'Deal of the Century' which is aimed at eliminating the cause of Palestine and ceding Quds and other holy sites to the Zionist regime.

He made the remarks in a video conference speech to the ralliers on Quds Day held in Maroun al-Ras located on the Lebanese border with the occupied Palestine.

The objective behind designation of the last Friday of Ramadan as the Quds Day by Imam Khomeini was to keep the day alive among all the nations worldwide, he said.

Noting that the significance of Quds Day is increasing day by day, Nasrallah said that the occasion is important because it symbolizes the epitome of battle after 70 years.

Commemorating Quds Day reveals that the cause of Palestine is still alive in minds and consciences, he said.

Nasrallah further noted that today, Quds faces three main challenges, first of which is recognition of Quds as the Israeli capital by the US.

The second is changing demographic texture and identity of Quds inhabitants, he said, noting that sanctities in the holy city of Quds, Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular, is the third challenge faced by Quds.

Stressing the need for Quds inhabitants to continue their presence in the city, he said that it is a real battle to keep living in Quds.

Nasrallah further contended that the Zionists have failed to make remarkable changes in Quds, as hundreds of Palestinians are still living there.

Remaining in the city, whether Muslims or Christians, will block changes in identity of the holy Quds, as the people of the city are its watchmen.
