Netherlands still supporting Iran nuclear deal: Envoy

Ahvaz, The ambassador of the Netherlands to Iran said the Netherlands is still supporting Iran nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran and Netherlands enjoy friendly relations for the past 400 years, Susana Trestal said in a joint meeting with Khuzestan governor general.

She referred to challenges in the province as regard water, agriculture and environment, expressing hope for starting civil and research plans in Khuzestan.

She also pointed to the Netherlands' tendency to have cooperation with Iran, saying the Netherlands diplomatic mission in Iran has agricultural sector.

Soil salinity and recycling of wastewater and drainage were among topics discussed by both sides, Trestal said.

Iran's ambassador to the Netherlands Alireza Jahangiri, for his part, said after the implementation of the JCPOA, relations between two countries had growth in all fields.

The trade ties between Iran and the Netherlands has increased from Euros 280m to Euros 1.6b per year, he said.
