No looming war threatens Iran: Top commander
Hamedan, The commander of Iran's Army Ground Force assured people that the country was facing no threat and no war was looming.
'This, however, does not mean stop keeping ready, as the Leader and the Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces has ordered that 'The Armed Forces should always feel themselves in a trench',' Brigadier General Kiyumars Heydari said Sunday while visiting combat units in western Province of Hamedan.
The Army's defense and combat readiness has reached an extent that the enemies have to resort to ploys other than military, the commander said.
The change in their approach to facing Iran is resulted from the Armed Forces resilience and self-sufficiency, he said.
The Army Ground Forces have been supplying all their needs on their own, or in some cases they have been using the products of Defense Ministry and those of other Iranian forces, the general said adding that the capability enables the forces to give a crushing response to the enemies.
Iran's air defense industry has become fully self-sufficient, transiting from reverse engineering and item manufacturing to designing and manufacturing the fully advanced air defense systems in accordance with global standards, Iran said last month.
