Official: Iran to bolster veterinary connections with neighbors
Bushehr,Head of Veterinary Organization of Iran Alireza Rafieipour said in order to create food safety, exporting domestic products and controlling livestock and poultry diseases.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Governor General of Bushehr province here on Tuesday.
Rafieipour said one of serious and important programs of the organization is paying special attention to border provinces in the field of food safety, controlling livestock and poultry diseases and exporting agricultural crops.
He added that annually 2 to 4 million birds enter Iran from the neighboring states, which could face by danger of transferring disease of bird flue into the country, so it is necessary to expand communication with the neighboring countries.
Governor General Abdul Karim Gravand said given to the importance of health in the society and its expenses, it is necessary to have organized control and supervision on importing food materials.
