One officer killed in fighting drug dealers in SE borders of Iran
Zahedan, In a clash between drug dealers and the border police of Iran one officer was martyred, in Sistan-Baluchstan Province, said Iranian Border Guard Commander Brigadier General Qasem Rezaee on Tuesday.
'In the clash a few of the traffickers were killed and First Lieutenant Ali-Akbar Masouminejad was martyred,' said General Rezaee.
The rest of the drug traffickers escaped to the borders of Pakistan, General Rezaee added.
One car, 40 kilograms of morphine, and 876 kilograms of opium were seized in the operation in Mirjaveh.
