Over 60 Saudi Officers Resign: Whistleblower
Tehran, A famous Saudi Arabia tweeter who reveals secrets of al-Saud family now breaks the news of the resignation of more than 60 Saudi officers.
'Sixty Saudi officers of various military ranks have resigned', Mujtahidd wrote in his recent tweet.
He believes the reason for the resignations is the officers feeling guilty for what is going on in Yemen. Meanwhile, they fear that they might be charged with committing war crimes in Yemen and hence be blacklisted.
According to Mujtahidd, Saudi military officials have not agreed to most of the resignations, and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, considers the resignations a crime.
Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastating military campaign against Yemen in March 2015, to bring the government of Hadi back to power and to crush the country's Houthi Ansarullah movement.
The Arab country was given the go-ahead by the US, and its intervention has so far claimed the lives of over 16,000 innocent Yemenis and razed the country to the ground.
