Over one ton of drug busted in central Iran
Yazd, Iran’s police seized more than one ton of narcotics in the central Iranian province of Yazd, one of the main transit hubs on the North-South Corridor.
A ton of opium and 78 kilograms of hashish were seized from two lorries in Yazd, said the provincial police commander Mohammad Reza Mir Heydari, adding that six people have been arrested in this connection.
Yazd, in the central part of Iran, lies at North-South transit corridor used by drug traffickers.
