Pak Speaker condemns terrorist attack on Iran military parade

Islamabad, Pakistan National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has said the Parliament and Pakistani nation express complete solidarity with the people of Iran and Parliament of Iran and strongly condemn the gruesome terrorist attack on a military parade in Ahvaz.

He expressed these views in a letter written to Speaker of Parliament of Iran, Ali Larijani, a press release said.

The speaker said that Pakistani Parliament had condemned the cowardly terrorism act in the strongest terms, which claimed precious lives and injured many.

Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with all those bereaved families, who lost their loved ones and are passing through trauma, he said.

Asad Qaiser asked the Iranian Speaker to convey the sympathies of entire National Assembly of Pakistan to the bereaved families.

He said that National Assembly of Pakistan was of firm belief that such a heinous act of terrorism was targeted towards the entire humanity and especially the Muslim Ummah.

Pakistan has been braving such cowardly acts of terrorism for the last one decade, he said. Pakistan was firm in its conviction to fight out this menace for peace and progress of entire humanity, he added.

He assured that whole the Pakistani nation completely supported and prayed that the brave brothers and sisters of the Islamic Republic of Iran would soon overcome the tragic incident.

At least 25 people, including women and children, were killed and more than 60 others injured during September 22 terror attack which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th anniversary of an eight-year imposed war against Iran.

The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
