The first flights of pilgrims to the Holy Land started today from Najaf International Airport.The airport administration, in the presence of the Governor of Najaf, Al-Ashraf Yousef Gannawi, the Chairman of the Provincial Council, Hussein Al-Issawi, and a number of officials in the local government, supervised the process of sending pilgrims to the Holy House of God.The Director General of the General Company for Airports and Air Navigation Management said, 'Najaf Airport has completed all the necessary preparations to transport the pilgrims to the Holy House of God, and has provided them with all the necessary facilities, from their entry to the airport until their boarding of the plane.'The Director General noted that there is high coordination between the airport administration and the supporting agencies operating at the airport, the Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah, in addition to Iraqi Airlines, within the framework of implementing the plan to send all pilgrims, within the specified times, to t he Holy Land.Source: National Iraqi News Agency
