Internet of things is an important issue that can revolutionize the country's maritime industry. In this context, the ports around the world have taken steps to maximize the use of the Internet in order to make ports intelligent, and the Ports and Maritime Organization is also prepared to use such capacity and move on the same path said Hadi Haghshenas, deputy od maritime affairs of Ports and Maritime Organization.
He continued: This technology can be used for high efficiency in the provision of services, smuggling prevention, as well as constant and timely monitoring of sensitive cargos of containers. Also, using the Internet of things makes it possible to observe container locations outside of the port.
The Internet of things is also available for telecommunication equipment and should be taken to ensure full coverage of safe navigation of floats and vessels along the coast and ports, an issue that is considered as one of the priorities for the maritime sector.
