President instructs governor-general, minister of interior and roads, heads of Red Crescent, Plan and Budget to expedite relief efforts for Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad quake
President's Chief of Staff Dr Mahmoud Vaezi received a report from the Governor General of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province on the latest situation of the earthquake in the province and stressed that the President is following the situation in the province and has issued the necessary instructions for expediating the relief process.
Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad governors, Hossein Kalantari, also thanked the president for his special attention to the province, saying that the quake fortunately did not cause any casualties, but more than 30 people were injured and that emergency shelters were being set up at the same time. We need facilities.
In separate contacts with the relevant agencies and the head of the Red Crescent Society, Dr Vaezi also instructed them to expedite the delivery of aid to the people in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province and announced that the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, as the President's representative, and head of the Red Crescent Society would travel to the quake-hit area.
