President Rouhani: Iran never to breach nuclear deal

Tehran, Sep 6, Iran will never breach the nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday.

President Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister's Special Envoy Masahiko Koumura.

He pointed to JCPOA as an important international accord.

President Rouhani also referred to Japan's positive role during Iran's talks with Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, Britain, China and France plus Germany), and said, 'Today after the implementation of the JCPOA we should not allow violating the deal.'

He went on to say that International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has verified Iran's commitment to JCPOA for several time.

This is while, the US has not so far been fully committed to nuclear deal.

'US is trying to make media campaign against international cooperation,' he said.

Facilitating banking ties will promote economic and trade cooperation, President Rouhani noted.

The Iranian president referred to cooperation grounds between Iran and Japan, and said the Japanese firms would be able to establish cooperation in oil, gas, petrochemical, dam building and developing ports fields.

President Rouhani expressed the hope for both countries' cooperation to bring about stability and security in eastern and western Asia.

Iran spares no efforts in establishing stability and security in the region.

Meanwhile, Koumura expressed congratulations over Rouhani re-election as Iran's president.

He also underscored developing ties between Tehran and Tokyo.

Koumura pointed to Iran's commitment to JCPOA as source of confidence for regional countries.

Iran has always played constructive role to maintain peace and security in the region.
