President Rouhani leaves New York for Tehran
New York, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani left New York for Tehran at the end of his four day stay here and participation in the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Rouhani arrived in New York Sunday evening to attend the high profile meeting.
On Monday and Tuesday, Rouhani held meetings with American political elites, his Cuban, Bolivian and Turkish counterparts, head of the International Olympic Committee, director of the International Monetary Fund, Chief Executive of Afghanistan and Norwegian prime minister.
The Iranian president also delivered speeches at the UN General Assembly and a meeting commemorating late South African leader Nelson Mandela besides giving interviews to NBC, CNN and PBS networks.
Moreover, Rouhani met and conferred with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Theresa May.
On the last day of his stay, President Rouhani participated in a press conference and responded to reporters' questions.
In the Wednesday afternoon, the Iranian president held talks with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro.
