President Rouhani orders examining situation of Iranian oil tanker
Tehran� Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ordered use of total national capacities to improve the status of employees of Iranian oil tanker that collided with a bulk freighter in China's eastern coast.
President Rouhani in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh and Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi called for the use of all national and regional capacities to speed up recognition of the oil tanker's employees' status.
He called for adopting 'legal measures' to receive compensation for the collision.
The President urged talking with the neighboring littoral states to help extinguishing the fire.
An Iranian tanker carrying condensates collided with a Chinese freight ship in East China coast on Saturday night, and the 32 members of the crew have gone missing. One body was found on Monday.
Bahrami said an American company has expressed readiness to help control the incident, but it was not equipped enough to bring the help soon.
The found body transported to China's Shanghai Port belongs to an Iranian crew, but his identity is not clear yet, the official said.
The tanker is still burning after three days.
