President Rouhani: World in dire need of moral preaching

Tehran, President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday in a message cabled to the 11th Global Zoroastrian Congress said the world is in dire need of moral preaching such as those uttered by Zarathustra.

In the message, President Rouhani sincerely congratulated the global gathering and wished for all those sharing hands in setting up the event success and prosperity.

Iran is the birthplace of Ashu Zarathustra messenger of good and kindness and continued presence of the religion in Iran played significant role for followers of divine religions as well as the country's culture and civilization, he said in the message.

The core of Zoroastrian with Islam and other divine religions is very consolidated, President Rouhani said.

He expressed the hope that the gathering will properly convey the message of this significant religion to the entire world.

Some 300 Zoroastrians from 12 countries, including the Iranian Zoroastrians attended the gathering which was kicked off in Australia on Friday.
