President Rouhani’s India visit to reinforce ties: MPs
Tehran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's visit to India is in line with developing relations between the two countries, members of Iran-India Parliamentary Group said.
Considering the Indians' positive attitude toward Iran and also presence of many Muslims in this country, the visit will bring about win-win ties, MP Mohammad Javad Abtahi, a member of the group, told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday.
'Promoting ties between Iran and India will be effective in developing cooperation between the two countries.'
Abtahi also said that Indians are interested in Iranian products and appreciate Persian language. 'India has proved that is pioneering in fighting terrorism.'
Also Head of Iran-India parliamentary friendship group Nazar Afzali said that Rouhani's tour to India is effective in increasing political, cultural and economic ties.
Since both countries have been the victim of terrorism, they have adopted common stances as regard fighting terrorism, he said.
According to IRNA correspondent in Hyderabad, Rouhani's visit is taking place at the official invitation of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who also visited Iran last year.
President Rouhani is accompanied by the Iranian Ministers of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif, Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh, Road and Urban Development Mohammad Akhundi, and Industry Mohammad Shariatmadari.
A large delegation from Iranian private sector businessmen and tradesmen are also in India as part of the President's Rouhani delegation.

Indian officials and meet with Indian President Ram Nath Konvid, Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi and Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj.
He is also to take part in Iran-India economic gathering.
