Qatari FM: Doha, Tehran need to be in contact regularly
Doha, Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said on Monday that Doha and Tehran need to be in contact regularly.
He told representatives of Qatari Parliament that the two countries' ties are based on clear foundations, namely neighborhood and partnership in the world's biggest gas field.
Despite the fact that Iran threw weight behind Qatar in times of sanctions, there are differences between them in foreign policy.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt on June 5, 2017, severed ties with the country accusing it of supporting terrorism and blocked their air, land and sea borders with Qatar.
