Resistance ideology rooted in Palestinian new generations
Tehran, Iranian Defense Ministry in a statement invited people to attend Quds Day rallies, saying antioccupation resistance ideology has been rooted in new Palestinian generations.
The Palestine issue and liberation of the Holy Quds have turned out to be an international issue and a global aspiration and has paved the way for establishing unity and integration for supporting the oppressed Palestinians, the statement reads.
The strategic ideology of the resistance, especially after the victory against the recent ZionistTakfiri sedition of ISIS , has become the soft power of the Islamic world, it added.
The last Friday of holy month of Ramadan was designated as the International Quds Day in 1979 by the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran late Imam Khomeini for all Muslims in the world to express their support for and solidarity with Palestinian people.
Earlier Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the message of the International Quds Day is so important, adding that the oppressed people will never be forgotten and abandoned in the fight against the oppressors.
Quds is a holy land for followers of all religions, including Muslims, Christians and Jews, and they have coexisted in the past ages in Palestine territories, he noted.
The enemies of Palestine and Quds tried over the past year to raid the holy city and recognize it as the capital of aggressors, President Rouhani said referring to the recognition of the city as capital of the Zionist regime by some states, including the US.
