Rouhani: Regional, int’l developments require continuous Iran-Qatar cooperation
Tehran, IRNA- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Monday said that regional and international conditions require continuous cooperation and interactions between Iran and Qatar.
Rouhani made the remarks in a phone conversation with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The president termed the efforts for peace and stability in the region as one of the main policies Iran.
The main challenge of the region is the militarism of some states and the Zionist regime, which we must try to remove the region from the situation, President Rouhani underlined.
Today, the importance of moderation and rationality in the field of regional developments and the pursuit of a political solution to the crisis is felt more than ever before, he added.
Iran has used all its capacity to advance UN efforts to bring peace to Yemen, he further noted.
The convergence of Muslim countries in resolving regional issues is a fundamental goal for Iran, he pointed out.
During the conversation, both sides congratulated each other on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, describing the bilateral relations as constructive.
