Tehran, Countries should try to achieve a world free of terrorism, Russian speaker of State Duma said on Saturday.

Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan and China have good cooperation in the fight against terrorism, Vyacheslav Volodin said at the Second Speakers' Conference attended by six regional nations underway in Tehran.

Terrorists try to hurt countries in the region, said the Russian official.

From 2011 to 2015, the international terrorism managed to form a terrorist government in Syria but with the help of Russia, Iran and Turkey freedom was restored to the country, he added.

Today, it can be said that the three peace guarantors can create good conditions in Syria by providing fresh water and electricity for the Syrian people, Volodin said.

Today, the terrorists are moving from Syria to Africa, Afghanistan and Southeast Asia, the Russian official added.

So, the world countries should take serious steps to fight terrorism and extremism, he said.

Commenting on the US unilateral moves in the world, Volodin said that Washington has been imposing sanctions against different countries and every country should stand against it.
