Russia calls on other parties to Iran deal to promote cooperation with Tehran
Beijing, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council Andrey Kortunov said on Sunday that all the remaining parties to Iran nuclear deal have to increase their trade and economic cooperation with Iran according to the commitments they have assumed in the deal.
Speaking exclusively with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the sidelines of the World Peace Forum in Beijing, the official said that all the signatories to the Iran nuclear deal need to make efforts to minimize the effects of the US blows to the accord.
He said that expanding trade and economic cooperation with Tehran can ensure Iran that the nuclear deal is being implemented and that Tehran does not need to withdraw from the deal.
On the US allegations against Iran, Kortunov said that Iran has to be engaged in talks so that it can play its constructive role in the region as a legitimate power.
Iran has had a constructive role in fighting terrorism, particularly in Syria, the official said, adding that it's better Iran be given a part in regional issues and its rights be recognized.
