RUSSIAN, IRANIAN AND TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTERS DISCUSS PROSPECTS OF SOLVING CRISIS IN SYRIA
Russian, Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers, discussed prospects of solving the crisis in Syria.
Interfax Agency, quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying, in a statement, that, the foreign ministers of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and Turkey, Mouloud Jawish Oglu, discussed in a meeting, held in New York, prospects of launching a true sustainable process, for the political settlement of the crisis in Syria and the situation on the ground, particularly in the deescalation zone in Idleb.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that, participants in the meeting expressed appreciation of the agreements reached in Sochi on Sept 17, regarding the stability of the situation in Idleb, which would allow the continuation of combating terrorism relentlessly, and protecting civilians.
The Ministry indicated that, talks during the meeting reiterated the necessity of speeding up the work, for solving the crisis in Syria, based on the outcome of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress, which was held in Sochi, and the resolution of the Security Council no. 2254.
