Senegal: Iran Deal important test for int’l community
Algiers, Senegalese Foreign Minister Sidiki Kaba expressed support of Friday for Iran nuclear deal, commonly known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying the landmark 2015 accord is an important test for the international community.
The JCPOA is the outcome of the international community's consensus, Kaba said during a meeting with Iran envoy to Senegal Einollah Qashqavi.
He also urged all parties involved in the deal to try to preserve it.
We believe that differences should be solved through negotiations, Kaba stressed.
He referred to the JCPOA as the outcome of complicated and hard talks, saying disrespect to the deal will create instability in the world.
Senegal spared no efforts for signing the deal in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), he added.
Referring to Senegal's bid to establish relations with other countries, Kaba expressed readiness for developing cooperation with Iran.
