Senior MP reacts to Samsung
Beijing Head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Aladdin Boroujerdi reacted to South Korean Company Samsung move to deny ceding mobile phone to Iranian athletes in Winter Olympic.
The move was under the pretext of sanctions, said Boroujerdi that in case of not apologizing by the company the best way to defend national dignity is to cut Samsung exports to Iran.
He made the remarks here in Beijing on Thursday evening.
Boroujerdi said cutting off Samsung products export to Iran will force Koreans to pay attention to greatness of Iranians.
He added that this move was a kind of disrespect for Iranians.
If Samsung does not apologize promptly, the issue will be followed up in Majlis (parliament).
PyeongChang Olympic organizers won't provide North Korean and Iranian players with Samsung smart phones, which are available free to all other athletes, for fear of violating international sanctions on the countries, South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted officials as saying on Wednesday.
