Senior MP stresses boost of Iran ties with neighbors
Tehran, Senior Iranian lawmaker on Friday underlined improvement of Iran's relations with the neighboring countries to thwart the US sanctions.
Boost of Iran's relations with 15 countries which share joint borders with Iran and 25 regional countries is necessary, Heshmatollah Falahat-Pisheh, Head of Parliament (Majlis) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) while elaborating on the policies need to be implemented against the US sanctions.
He also called for elevation of national solidarity and good management of resources against the US pressures.
The MP stressed that the government should prevent formation of international consensus against Iran.
Commenting on the US threat of blockading Iran's oil exports, he described it as enforcing 'the law of jungle'.
The MP declared support for President Hassan Rouhani's remarks about the impact of US threats on security of oil transit from the Persian Gulf and noted that Iran will try to de-escalate tensions, but will not also permit hegemonic powers to adopt anti-Iranian measures outside the international rules.
