Senior MP: US sanctions basis for Iran’s economy evolution
Tehran, Head of Iran's parliamentary friendship group with European Parliament said that the US unfair sanctions against Iran will lead to the pathology and evolution of the country's economy.
'In the current situation, we should turn sanctions into opportunities by examining the threats.' Kazem Jalali said on Wednesday at a meeting with members of the Iranian embassy, representatives of the European Parliament held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic in Belgium.
He said that re-negotiation with the United States would be unacceptable and stressed that, under the current circumstances, 'we should turn the threats into opportunities to eliminate the weakness of the country with national will.
Vice-President of the International Inter-Parliamentary Union said that we should all stand in the national interest on the national scene adding 'when we are abroad as an ambassador, representative or parliamentary delegation, we must all pursue national interests'.
Jalali added that in the current situation, the country's economy can be pathologized and based on it, the country's economic weaknesses, including its dependence on oil revenues, were eliminated.
Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Belgium Peyman Saadat, for his part also referred to the positive conditions of Iran in international relations and said, 'We must be able to find the available space to advance the country's economic goals in the international community.'
He continued that in order to pursue the bilateral relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the European countries, measures have been taken and in this regard, visits from industrial complexes in Europe have been carried out and follow-up in this regard is continuing.'
