Serial on Sheikh Safieddin Ardebili up for production: Official
Ardebil, Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Hadi Hosseini said on Saturday that a serial named after Sheikh Safieddin Ardebili will be produced to introduce services of the Safavid dynasty to Iran.
In a meeting with Ardebil Governor General Akbar Behnamjou, he added that production of the serial will be started in the current Iranian year after necessary credit is allocated for that.
Safavid dynasty has undertaken valuable measures in unifying Islamic Iran and promoting Shiism countrywide and the country is indebted to the dynasty, he said.
Behnamjou, for his part, hailed role of Safavid dynasty in unifying Islamic Iran, saying that the need for production of the serial is felt in Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Safieddin Ardebili, known as Sheikh Safi, is the eighth century AH poet and mystic.
