Shows Fierce Fighting Among FSA and ISIS in Al-Bab

The FSA forces have been fighting street battles with ISIS militants in al-Bab with Turkish military support.

Progress in taking the city from the ISIS has been slowed by efforts to avoid civilian casualties, Turkey's defence minister said on Friday (January 6).

Turkey launched the Euphrates Shield operation in support of Syrian rebels more than four months ago to drive Islamic State from the border area and in recent weeks the rebels have been besieging al-Bab.

Turkish-led air and ground operations in Syria killed 48 Islamic State militants on Sunday (January 8) while Turkish warplanes destroyed 23 buildings and shelters used by the terrorists, Turkey's armed forces said in a statement on Monday (January 9).
