Six people found frozen to death in northwestern Iranian heights

Urumiyeh, Oct 28, IRNA Six people have been found frozen to death at Chalderan heights in northwestern Iran, according to Chalderan governor Karim Hosseinzadeh.

The six, most probably Afghan nationals, had planned to illegally cross into the Turkish soil through Chalderan border when they were trapped in dire weather conditions.

He said that the coroner's office and other related organizations have carried out investigations into the case and will announce their views on the nationality and the cause of death of the victims after they complete their study.
