Slovenian president pleased with growing mutual ties
Belgrade, Slovenian President Borut Pahor expressed pleasure with enhancement of politico-economic ties between his country and Iran over the past years.
In a meeting with Iran's Ambassador in Ljubljana Morteza Darzi-Ramandi, he referred to the current complicated situation in the world, hoping that Iran nuclear deal will be preserved under such conditions.
Iran's envoy, for his part, said the year 2016 marked a turning point in Tehran- Ljubljana ties.
Darzi-Ramandi also hailed 3-fold increase in the two countries' commercial exchanges.
The Slovenian president's visit to Tehran, signing of several memoranda of understanding and trade agreements and reopening of Slovenian Embassy in Iran were among the topics discussed during the meeting.
They also discussed bolstering of bilateral relations, regional developments and Iran nuclear deal following US exit from it.
