Speaker calls for broadening of Iran-Mali ties

Tehran� Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said in Tehran on Wednesday that Iran-Mali cooperation should expand.

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with President of the National Assembly of Mali Issaka Sidibe on the sidelines of the 13th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC member-states (PUIC).

He underlined the expansion of Iran-Mali relations in the economic, political and cultural domains.

'We are willing to continue ties with Mali in various economic, political and cultural domains,' Larijani said.

He went on to say that during your presidency 'we have had very good relations and we hope that good parliamentary relations with Mali will continue to expand'.

Sidibe, for his part, thanked Iran for hosting the PUIC conference and hoped the meeting will open new horizons for Muslim countries.

'We have always been seeking to find solutions to Muslim world problems. We believe we should strive for handling affairs and cause more solidarity among Muslims.'
