Syria, Lebanon envoys slam terrorist attack in Iran

Baghdad, Syrian and Lebanese ambassadors in Iraq on Sunday condemned the recent terrorist attack in Iran's southern province of Khuzestan.

Syrian Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah and Lebanon Ambassador to the country Ali Adib in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi slammed the terrorist attack in Ahvaz in which 25 people were martyred and dozens of others were injured.

The Syrian and Lebanese envoys said that the US and certain regional countries had a role in the terrorist attack and are trying to undermine security in Iran.

The Zionist regime of Israel is trying to dominate the region with the US' support, they added.

Iranian, Lebanese and Syrian envoys lauded the good relations between the three Muslim states.

At least 25 people, including women and children, were martyred and more than 60 others injured during September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th anniversary of the eight-year (1980-88) war imposed on Iran. The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
