Syria peace talks to resume in Kazakhstan
The 11th round of Syria peace talks will be held on November 28-29 in the Kazakh capital city of Astana, Sputnik quoted Kazakh Foreign Minister as saying on Monday.
The guarantors of the Astana process agreed to hold the next, 11th international high-level meeting on Syria as part of the Astana process on November 28-29, said Kairat Abdrakhmanov.
He added that the meeting is to be held with the attendance of the representatives from the Syrian government and opposing groups as well as the Astana Process guarantors Iran, Russia, and Turkey.
He said that the representatives from the United Nations and Jordan will also take part in the meeting.
The 10th round of the international talks, initiated in Astana in 2016, took place in the Russian western city of Sochi in July. The formation of a Syrian constitutional committee, the de-escalation zones established in Syria, and humanitarian issues, among others, were the topics of the July 30-31 talks.
