Syrian Airstrikes Hit ISIS Militants Positions in Deir Ezzur
Syrian fighter jets carried out several combat sorties over ISIS gatherings and concentration centers near the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.
The warplanes targeted the movements and centers of ISIL in Panorama region in the Southern part of Deir Ezzur city in continued air raids, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
Also, the army aircraft pounded ISIL's defense lines in al-Thardah mountain Southeast of Deir Ezzur and in areas near Deir Ezzur's airbase, inflicting heavy casualties on the militants.
The army soldiers that had repelled several attacks of ISIL on their positions in recent days, and stormed the militants' gatherings and movements in different parts of the province.
Also, Syrian Army troops warded off a second large-scale attack of ISIL on their defense lines in Deir Ezzur's neighborhoods on Saturday.
The ISIS terrorists, whose first massive attack on army positions on al-Roshdiyeh neighborhood had been repelled on Thursday night, managed to carry out a second large-scale offensive to prevail over army positions in the key neighborhood but failed again and retreated from the battlefield after leaving behind over 20 dead members and two destroyed vehicles.
ISIS used tens of forces in its attack but the army soldiers could fend off the attack, FNA reported.
