Syrian Army Troops Foil Jeish Al-Fatah’s Offensive in Southwest Aleppo
Syrian Army troops and popular forces fended off Jeish al-Fatah's offensives near a military center in Southwestern Aleppo, inflicting tens of casualties on the militants.
Syrian government forces repelled Jeish al-Fatah's assault to capture the Assad Military-Engineering Academy and Bostan al-Zahra neighborhood, targeting militants' suicide vehicles.
Jeish al-Fatah suffered a heavy death toll and retreated from the battlefield without any gain.
Army sources said the terrorists are preparing to attack the army positions in the Northwestern outskirts of Aleppo near the Castillo road.
The Syrian Army has dispatched a large number of missile launchpads to Aleppo city to destroy Jeish al-Fatah's bomb-laden suicide vehicles.
"After intensified attacks by Jeish al-Fatah terrorists under its Great Epic Operation on government-held districts of Aleppo city, Damascus has sent a large number of forces and military equipment, including missile units with highly experienced crew, to the Northern city," army sources said earlier today.
"The fresh forces will deploy to the districts of Jam'iyat al-Zahra and Zahiyeh al-Assad and along the road to Menyan to reinvigorate the army defense lines," they added.
