Syrian FM: Iran vows to reconstruct Syria
Moscow, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said on Monday that Russia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, India, Malaysia, China, Brazil and some other countries vowed to help reconstruct Syria.
Syrian foreign minister said in an interview with Russia 24 TV channel on Monday.
Reconstruction of Syria is a chance for those friends 'who gave us a helping hand in fight against terrorism' in Syria, he said.
Damascus never accepts the assessment and the sum declared by the United Nations for reconstruction of Syria as the organization is under pressure of the US and other western countries, he said.
The UN has declared that reconstruction of Syria requires at least $250 billions.
Time is ripe for the US to confess its defeat in Syria both militarily and politically, he said.
