Syria’s Quneitra liberated
Damascus, Syrian Army liberated the city of Quneitra from terrorists in southwestern Syria on Thursday.
The army drove the terrorists out of the city and deployed the forces inside the city.
According to Reuters, Pro-Assad forces raised the Syrian flag in Quneitra on Thursday, as the government continued its push to regain full control of the Syrian Golan Heights, strategic territory that borders Israel and Jordan.
A Reuters photographer saw uniformed men raise the Syrian national flag and the black, white, green and red flag of the Baath Party in the long-abandoned city. No weapons were immediately visible.
Quneitra with a population of over 100,000 is considered one of the smallest Syrian provinces. It is situated in a high valley in the Golan Heights at an elevation of 1,010 meters (3,313 feet) above sea level.
