Tatarstan calls for expansion of cultural cooperation with Iran
Moscow, Minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova on Sunday called for the expansion of cultural cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), she lauded Iran's invaluable history, civilization and very rich culture.
Iran's chief consulate in Kazan plays a very prominent role in broadening of cultural cooperation between the two countries, Ayupova said.
Four Iranian movies are to be screened at international Islamic film festival in Kazan, she said.
Iranian movies are very good in terms of quality and meaningfulness in the world status, Ayupova added.
Grounds are also well-prepared for both sides to broaden cooperation in visual arts and calligraphy, she said.
Translation of Persian books to Tatarstan and vice versa regarded as another significant move in broadening cultural cooperation between the two countries, the minister said.
Exchange of cultural collaboration leads to enrichment of both cultures and Tatarstan welcomes the move, she said.
