Tehran Municipality ready to work in Baghdad projects
Baghdad, Tehran Mayor Pirouz Hanachi voiced readiness to participate in implementing Baghdad urban projects.
Addressing a meeting with Head of the 'National Wisdom Movement of Iraq', Ammar Hakim, here on Friday, Hanachi elaborated on potentials of Tehran Municipality and its afflilated companies in helping carrying out and implementing big urban projects in Baghdad.
He referred to subway lines, developing green areas, managing wastes and restoration of historical monuments as the projects in which Iranian firms will be able to exchange knowledge and experiences with the Iraqi companies.
Meanwhile, Hakim praised Iran's achievements in various fields and hailed developing cooperation between two countries especially in implementing civil projects.
Hanachi heading a delegation arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday.
Tehran mayor's trip took place upon official invitation of his Iraqi counterpart Zekra Alwach aiming to promote cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad.
Earlier on Thursday, Hanachi held meetings with Baghdad governor and also members of Baghdad province council.
During his meeting, Iranian mayor presented his suggestions as regard urban issues.
